The 'Black' Zimmerman....Where's the Media?

Roderick Scott (the shooter) is a black man, the person he shot, Chris Cervini, was a 16 year old white boy.
That means that Scott shot and killed an 'unarmed child'. In fact, as it turns out the unarmed 16 year old was also an honor student.
Cervini’s father Jim, following the verdict of not guilty said:
“My son never threatened anybody. He was a gentle child, his nature was gentle, he was a good person and he was never, ever arrested for anything, and has never been in trouble. He was 16 years and four months old, and he was slaughtered.”
Sounds strangely familiar to what Tracy Martin has said about his son, Travyon right?
There are some major differences though. Trayvon had already sucker-punched (assaulted) Zimmerman, most likely breaking his nose and knocking him down. Then, Martin got on top of Zimmerman and began pounding his head into the concrete slab.
In the case of Roderick Scott and Chris Cervini however, Cervini had not even come into any physical contact whatsoever with Scott when Scott chose to open fire and gun him down.

I support his use of force just as much as I did Zimmermans. Then again, I think Texas has it right about using force to protect property. I know, I know, a car isnt worth a life but it is my car that I paid for and you are not welcome to it unless I give it to you. When I confront you about your attempts to steal it, i expect you to leave or run away. If you come at me, well, here is your sign. I do get the irony though.

There are "get out of jail free cards" for the sharptons and jacksons of the world and any other black who decides to break the law. Personally, I do not listen to the news anymore because it is not worth my time--all I can do is vote and that is not enough anymore. According to Snopes.com, Scott testified that his intent in confronting Cervini and the two others he was with was "to stop or detain the criminals" whom he accused of breaking into vehicles in the neighborhood. He drew his weapon "and ordered them to freeze and wait for police." So where Zimmerman wasn't looking to detain Martin, Scott explicitly stated in his testimony that detention was his goal. Again, he was purportedly a neighborhood watch member, not a LEO. He wanted to be a hero by capturing three young men whom he believed to be robbing vehicles in his neighborhood (snopes.com: Roderick Scott). To make matters worse, New York doesn't have an SYG law. "New York law allows a person to use deadly force to defend his residence from home invasion only as a last resort. It does not allow the use of deadly force to prevent a property crime, and requires retreat if possible," (Articles: What if Trayvon Had Been White, and the Shooter Black?). In drawing his firearm and ordering the young men to freeze, he was using the threat of deadly force to prevent a property crime off his own property, where, under NY law, he had no right to use deadly force.

Yeah, THAT'S justice.

As you say Outlaw, this garbage in the whitehouse is a racist among other disgusting things. Does not even want to understand that he is the prez OF THE US and not just of blacks, but of dems, of moslems, of terrorists, of illegals, of socialists, of anarchists--of everything that this country is not. He is also a narcissist who truly kisses the mirror each morning and tells himself how lucky we all are that he is in charge. He has a wife that dresses like a street walker and boy do they know how to go on vacation and spend OUR money. If you go on the premise that his aim is, as he once said, to fundamentally change this country and extend that to mean the destruction of the current country, every single thing this piece of garbage does makes absolute sense--my real rub, understanding that this is what he is, is the fact that supposedly intelligent and patriotic dems in congress just go lockstep with this road to ruin without a whimper or a comment. The system is truly broken--once he gets that one more SCOTUS vote, he will have the trifecta that surely will destroy this country. Do not think for a moment that the repubs are that much better--they got there perfect congressional jobs and benefits and sure as hell do little to yell and scream and rant and rave about this maniac in the whitehouse. McCain and Graham are absolute idiots (can't wait to vote against Graham here in SC--republican?-are you kidding me?). All I can do is vote and have my house plan for defense and hope for the best--I am 71 so my destiny is pretty well set, but when I look at my 7 year old granddaughter and 14 year old grandson, I get angry--that is why I do not watch the news on TV---if I did, I would go stark raving mad and just hope someone shoves my front door in so I can "show" them how angry I really am.

I can completely understand your frustration's.
Like you, I also worry about my families future and pray about it daily.
I'm also thinking that I should stop watching the news too, it's not good for my health.
