I'm not a single-action, cocked-'n-locked kinda guy, but there's something nostalgic as well as fearsome about the Colt .45 making a comeback. I wonder if that Earth-tone Duracoated one in the pictures is what the Marines ordered? Good lookin' piece if it is. How many of those would $22.5 million buy? This does not mean they are making a comeback, they never went away. I was at Quantico last year, 5 yrs ago they spent 3.5mm USD to build a armory for building custom 1911's for MarSoc. Most folks don't realize it but the specops guys have been using .45 since the regular military converted to the 92's. Spec Ops guys have their choice of firearms to accomplish their missions.
