These students could have easily been murdered!

(BTW a LEO Buddy is telling me they are thought to be illegals, the U-District has seen an upsurge recently)

Aggravated Assault With a Gun

On Monday, July 11, 2011, at approximately 2:45 a.m., a group of friends
(non-UW students) was sitting on a retaining wall in the area of N.E. 47th St.
and University Way, N.E. when they were approached by two suspects. Suspect #1
pointed a black handgun and threatened to kill one of the victims. He fired one
shot at the victim's feet, but it did not hit him. Suspect #2, also armed with
a gun, pointed the gun at one of the other victims. That victim jumped off the
wall and fled on foot to a nearby location to call 911. Several shots were
fired and a window to a business was shattered, but there were no injuries.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, 5' 7",
stocky, short spiked hair, faint mustache, wearing a white t-shirt and blue
jeans. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male, also approximately 20 years
old, 5' 6", 150 pounds, short spiked hair. The suspects fled the scene in a
truck described as a full size gray pickup with matching canopy, tinted
windows, and large front tires. The suspects left the scene in an unknown
direction. Officers conducted an area search but did not locate the suspects or
the truck.

This case is being investigated by the Seattle Police Department under case
number 2011-223965.

I agree, being armed could of changed things......for better or worse is the question. Sure being presented by such deadly force I would probably of shot in return. One can only pray these clueless ppl at the capitol figure it out before innocent lives are lost
