Temporarily Living in Iowa

Hello all, new to forums. I'm wondering if I can purchase a gun if I'm living in Iowa but have a South Carolina DL. I'm going to be here for a few months and have been thinking of purchasing a gun to take to the range. I'm pretty sure I would have to either change my residency or wait until I go back to SC.

haha, thanks for the quick responses. Iowa isn't that bad. I do miss being so close to the beach though.
