Have been holding out for a S&W Governor - but stumbled in to an unexpected find - a Taurus Judge Public Defender - new - at a local trading post.

So, its here, may be years before I see a Governor. I bought it.

Worked great at the range with .410s. Saved the personal defense loads for personal defense. Long colts too expensive so far...maybe next pay day.

Really like the "ribber" handle - it does work.

Holsters are hard to find. Got an airgun holster at WalMart while waiting for my IWB Talon Holster (there's a belt clip on the other side). Didn't wait long - was in stock and only five days to arrive from Florida - including the weekend.

Nice. I have the Judge 3" magnum as my nightstand gun.

I'm not sure I would carry it as a CCW piece unless it was loaded with the 45's, too much of a chance the buckshot in a 410 might cause collateral injuries. The Winchester PDX1 shells are pretty good, so are the Federal 410 Handgun 000, haven't had too much luck with 410 slugs though. I load it like this for home defense: 2 PDX1, 2 Federal 000, and 1 45Colt. You're right, 45 Colt is pricey, that's why I load my own. I have 2 of the HKS CA-44 speed loaders for it, they work for the 45 Colts only. 5 Star Firearms | Speed Loaders | Range Blocks | Leather Pouches | 100% American Made makes speed loaders for the 410 shells, I don't have any of those yet. The Governor is a nice gun too, I like the fact it can shoot 45acp.
