Taurus PT140

What is your opinion of the Taurus PT140??
Any Pro's and Con's??

Went to store, looked at it, felt good in hand, slide easy to lock back, shoots well, low recoil for 40, and I discover after owning a couple of weeks I cannot stand it and in fact "gave" it to my daughters boyfriend last night.

The three killers for me and they are petty...

1: with 1 through 8 rounds in mag... it's tight. If you load round 9 and/or 10... the mags "rattle"???? WHY?

2: It has a safety on the slide which I do not like. (Scared I'd have to defend my life and the one guy with a safety, I'd forget)

3: It felt good in hand at first... after a couple of days ... the grip is small, very small for a double stack mag. On my XD and Glock 29, When I grip them my thumb overlaps my middle finger and the tip of my thumb barely touches the first knuckle and I'm used to that. I didn't notice at store but the PT140 Mill, the tip of my thumb actually lands in middle of first and second knuckle... I just "feels" wrong if you are used to a Glock or XD


It's a good gun, shoots well, but it irks me.
