Tattoos in Denver area?

Does anyone know of a good tattoo artist or shop southeast of Denver? Parker area would be good. I might get amazingly lucky and have my wonderful husband get me a tattoo I've wanted for years, but we don't know who's good out here.

Google "best tattoo artists Denver". I tried it with Yahoo search and got quite a few, along with a map of their locations. And most of them had ratings from their customers. Still I would look at their web sites and see their work. What appeals to some people, doesn't to others.

I did, of course... but the best places are often not online, and you find out word-of-mouth. So just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything!

Visit their shop and witness the quality of their work for yourself. Then choose. That's how I've always done it, never any slop.

Yes, that's the best way. Problem is, where I live, tattoo shops are over an hour away in various directions. Had the same problem with finding ranges with rentals I wanted to try... May have found one near me that will do. Good reviews and great pictures online, so hopefully it will do. If I have to drive all over Denver I'll spend more on gas than I will on the tattoo!

What kind of tattoo are you wanting to get?

There are about seven I want... the one I'm after now is a briar rose pattern. Don't know exactly what it looks like yet... I read the description in a book and have an idea in my head. :) Luckily my husband draws, and I'm hoping the tattoo artist will be able to help as well.

Telpinaro,

I've heard great things about some of the artists in the State Pen. ;)

lol

Show us pics when you get your work done.

I stopped at 37.

Doubt I'll get that far, but I won't put a cap on it. :)

I'll have to check them out!! LOL

And I'll take pictures. It'll probably be a while, though... won't do it until my husband's home, and don't know when that will be!

Just out of curiosity how do you reconcile getting tatoos with the Biblical prohibition against tatoos?
The Bible says,"Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord." It's important, however, to look at the verse in context. This passage in Leviticus, including the surrounding text, is specifically dealing with the pagan religious rituals of the people living around the Israelites . God’s desire is to set his people (Israelites) apart from other cultures. The focus here is prohibiting worldly, heathen worship and witchcraft. God forbids his holy people (Israelites) to engage in idolatrous, pagan worship and sorcery which imitates the heathens. He does this out of protection, because he knows this will lead them away from the one true God. The Bible also says... "Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood," and "Do not trim off the hair on your temples or trim your beards." Well, certainly many Christians today eat non-kosher meats and get haircuts without participating in the forbidden worship of pagans. Back then these customs were associated with pagan rites and rituals. Today they are not.

I sent you a private message with some information that may help you.

IT HAS BEGUN!

Here's the start. Few more weeks and I'll have it finished... should take two or three more sessions. Had no idea the inside of my leg would hurt that much... lol
And yes, I'm aware the shadows are not all facing the same way. I noticed a little too late, and decided I didn't give a d@mn. It still looks awesome.

This is sort of the excuse I have for getting one many, many years ago. Stopped with one and, luckily, it doesn't show.

None of mine show unless I want them to. I am very strategic... though in this case, that also means exceptionally painful! That first one was nothing... back of my leg and hip were insane! Last part will be done on Wednesday, and I suspect ribs are going to be worse yet!

That is exactly why I stopped with one.......it hurt like the dickens and I have a very low pain tolerance!

To fundies, the absolutely literal words of the bible apply when they condemn and try to control the actions and beliefs of others. The bible is very much open to interpretation when they legitimize their own beliefs and actions.

That's one reason I never got one. My daughter has three (that I know of) and a few piercings too. However this same daughter has to be completely put out to have ANY dental procedure. Yes, ANY.
