Talking versus Doing

Post removed. Apologies.

Why do you assume that shooting someone in “the line of duty” is any less traumatic? It is generally considered to be in extremely poor taste to ask such a question on a forum.

It’s also not a wonderful idea to name a specific person that you may be thinking about shooting. That’s the kind of thing that comes back to haunt you when the DA is deciding whether or not you were legitimately in fear of this 16 YO or just looking for a reason to pop him.

It has been my experience that the people who have had to shoot someone (regardless of the circumstances) don’t care to talk about it on the net and the ones that are eager to talk about it probably never did it.

I wonder if I should have drawn on the kid just to make him stop his stupid crap.

In most states that would be considered felony menacing. In Colorado it could cost you your RKBA as well as your freedom (Who's going to watch your dog then?). If you pull a gun on another person you had better be able to articulate very specifically what that person did that made you feel like you needed a gun to stop him and it had better be a reason that a jury would buy.

Sorry for offending you. I'll remove my post.

I never said you offended me (and if I did I'm not the abiter of whjat you should or shouldn't post) I was just sharing my experience w/ threads of this type in the past. Go ahead leave it up this time it might be different
