A judge that does a 180 in legal reasoning based on a personal experience probably shouldn't be a judge in the first place.

For example, in 1996, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's purse was snatched as she was returning home from a Georgetown restaurant. She was shaken up but not harmed. Despite that personal experience she has stuck to her guns so to speak.

So let me ask you, if the scotus became full of anti-gun, anti-constitution fascists that decided to institute a law outlawing private ownership of all guns based on personal feelings toward them and not based on the God given unconditional right to protect oneself would you comply or defy. I know what I would do---salute with my middle finger. They can make as many laws as they want but it doesn't mean we must obey them. Laws are meant to be broken.
