I served in subs in the 60's. USS Grant SSBN631, Queenfish SSN 651, Guitarro SSN 665, and enjoyed most of it.

Thank you for your service to our country. I spent one day on a sub while in ROTC and learned that I had better not sign up for sub duty. I am 6'5" and my head and shins were like hamburger before the days end. LOL

I served on COMSUBLANT Staff 75-79 been in a few of them, never deployed in one, Romney wants to build a few more, that great.

I served in the Navy 13 Oct 1975 (200th birthday of the Navy) until 31 Jan 2000...took me a few years to get smart and join the submarine force.
