Hello all. Glad to be here. I'm new to this site and would like to ask for some help picking a Baretta. I'm looking at the PX4 Storm "Compact" which the website list as a size between the full and sub compact. 6.8 inches length. Think thats a good size for a daily CC. The sub is just to small for my meathooks. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Compact website: Because Lives Depend On It. (page 3 I think)

I shoot and carry the PX4 Storm .40 S&W in a Fobus Holster on my right hip, it's an awesome pistol, It's not much smaller then a full sized Beretta 92 .... read as much as you can on it. Remember CC always has some form of compromise, whether it is size, number of rounds you want to carry, weight, and so on. Unless you are a real huge man the PX4 fits my hand well (6'2" 205 lbs.). How deep do you want to go into your CC. Come summer time I want something a little lighter and smaller so I am going to purchase a Bersa Thunder .380 and load it with Buffalo Bore + P rounds.

Storm Px4 sc hard to find

I have a Beretta 92FS Inox (9mm), and while it's certainly a fine piece, it's pretty large for CCW. I want a solid .40 S&W, but I cannot find that Px4 Storm subcompact anywhere. So I'm wondering about the Glock 27 instead. And there's also the Springfield Armory subcompact, as well as of course Sig and some others.

Is it just a matter of which one feels good in your hand, or is any one of these truly technologically superior?

Agreed ... the Px4 Sub is difficult to find, a friend of mine got one in the 9mm through a local Gun Dealer, it a great CC pistol ! Keep searching !

i carry a PX4 as well - especially in the winter months when you have more clothing/concealment options. I have found it to be very accurate and reliable.
Have not fired the SC version, but I have seen them around a couple of stores here in St. Louis.

My preference is the XD-40 sub Compact. goes Bang every time, enough firepower and easy enough to hide well. Mine is an older version so it is a little heavy, but the weight becomes comforting. Very deendable and has never missed a beat. i also have a Sig 239 and I would put the quality as just as good. As stated, it all depends on what feels good in your hand. Any of the mentioned weapons would serve you well.
