Sti gp6 & gp5

Been looking for a good backup and read on the STI site that their test pistols have fired over 110,000 rounds w/o the internal geometry of the firearm changing. They only offer in a 9mm and do say they are only recommended for standard factory ammo not +p or +p+. Anyone have an opinion on these? Was looking at the CZ and M&P and was wondering if this one even compared to them. I currently have XDM 40 4.5" with nite sites but haven't tried a new holster the factory holster to me seems a bit hard to return the gun into and loaded with all 16+1 rounds becomes a little heavy. However the holster does fit perfect on the door pocket of my truck and does not slide around which allows me to place it in the perfect spot for quick retrieval if needed. Anyway any info will be helpful thanks in advance.
