Springfield xdm9

I just purchased a XDM9 and was wondering everyone's opinion on this weapon. I am happy with the price of the gun package and the performance is better than I expected. I can only compare it to my previous guns which were the S&W 910/9mm & Glock 21 SF/45. The 910 operated flawlessly with over 15,000 rds cycled & the Glock was slightly uncomfortable after several mags fired. Hope to hear from some of you.

Thanks,

The xdm9 is a nice gun. Comfortable to hold and shoot and so far no malfunctions. My wife has taken hers to Front Sight and it held up just fine.

Nothing but good to say about the XDM9

Just purchased one as well. I have the XDM 9mm 3.8" barrel.

I have only one range session under my belt, but I REALLY like it. No problems to speak of, it is as accurate as my HK (which costs a LOT more), and I am able to re-acquire my target faster than I do with either of my other guns (I also have a Kahr MK9). Not only that, but I took advantage of the current promotion (until end of the year?) to get 3 extra magazines + 1 extra mag carrier FOR FREE (value of around $100+), making the purchase an EXCELLENT VALUE. How many other guns out there will give you 5 magazines for the price of 2???

If Springfield made a compact version of this gun, I would consider carrying it. Until then, I consider it a truly outstanding range gun (19+1 rounds).

Might I add that I think it would also be a very good gun to LEARN on because it is comfortable to hold, simple to load and use (no manual safeties, you aren't required to use the slide lock to slingshot load your first round, etc), and has very little perceived recoil. The only thing that wasn't fun was loading the last 4 rounds into the 19 round magazine ... I think I will start using the included magazine loader and save my thumbs!

I got my XDM 9 3.8 in September and it is my favorite gun to take to range. I am a big guy and now that the weather has cooled off I can carry it concealed under a sport coat or flannel shirt. In the summer not so easy to conceal under a t-shirt. After 1500 rounds with no malfunctions and the XDM's great ergonomics. I'm looking forward to a long winter

While I don't have an XDm9, I do have the 45 model and as it's similar in design and function, I'll add my .o2, the design seems to fit my hand better than a similar pistol the Glock model 21, and the grip safety gives me a tad more safety. The XDm45 shoots and functions very well for me. I am considering getting a 3.8 in 9mm too.
