Just picked the xds up today. If the weather in Wisconsin cooperates I will put it through its paces tomorrow. Like my other xd fit and finish perfect. the trigger pull and sights are fabulous.

Mine liked lots of oil for the first 300 rounds. If it was not well oiled it would fail to go fully into battery. Now I got over 500 rounds through it runs like a Glock.

You'll love it. I have had mine since August and have put 1000 rounds through it. As stated above, it comes out of the box dry. The failing to go into battery happened to me a couple times my first day at the range. Watch your thumb. If it hits the slide stop it will cause this to happen. The only other note is that it doesn't like a "limp wrister". It will cause FTFs. Good fundamentals will eliminate that. Have fun. It's a great shooter. I carry mine everyday and trust my life with it.

The weather was perfect here in WI yesterday.... Did you have a chance to shoot it? I'm considering the XDs .45 or a Shield .40 so I'm interested to know how you liked it.

I've had mine for several months and put over 500 rounds of various brands and types of ammo through it. I haven't lubed it yet and it's never had a single malfunction. It's my EDC full time now.

Xds & ftf

I've have noticed the xds can have light strikes with very much muzzle flip, so today I locked the receiver open so I could access the inside rod of the dual action recoil spring. Cleaned it with a little solvent and qtip then light oiled. No ftf with the 5 round mags, but had some ftf and 2 feed jams with an extended 7mag.
