I didn't know one could avoid being tasered by not cooperating - I thought you got tasered for not cooperating.

Police surrounded him and repeatedly asked him to surrender. A trooper said the man proceeded to scream, "Why don't you shoot me then? Why don't you kill me then?"

Police attempted to taser the suspect, but he wouldn't cooperate.

The suspect was shot in the abdomen. He was life-lined to an Indianapolis hospital and is in critical condition.

Most often the reason "cops only have to shoot their gun once a month" is that one of the first things cut from a budget is training, sub item: ammunition.
