Spare Mags banging together in cargo pants pocket.. Pouch suggestions?

I usually carry a few spare mags (Glock26 or G43,sometimes G17), usually carry them in cargo style pants.... Problem is they bang together (noisy, possible draw attention at work etc) plus as I walk they slam against my knee bone, directly on the spot where I had surgery (friggin ouch!)... Any suggestions for padded mag pouch(es) etc??

You could try duct taping a few mags to your ankles, that's what I do when I run out of space on my gunbelt.

When carrying one spare 17-round 9mm magazine in a pant pocket for my Glock 19, I use the DeSantis MAG-PACKER. When carrying two spare 17-round 9mm magazines, which I do most of the time, I use the belt-mounted Link Removed. Magazine changes are significantly faster for me when using the belt-mounted option.

Neat, but what with gun in one pocket, keys in another did pocket, wallet in one hip and credentials in the other, where to put it? :)

Blackhawk makes a double mag pouch and they can be found a most Walmart (and other stores) for under $25.00 They are made of tough nylon with Velcro flaps.

If u a cheap bastid like me, I found nylon double mag pouch that holds 2 16 round mag's online for $10 or so. Don't remember the site - officer's store or something.

I looked the order up in my email - i actually got this combo holster and mag pouch, but i don't use the holster - just an extra one to have around:

Amazon.com : Combo Holster and Magazine Pouch for S&W SD9VE & SD40VE : Sports & Outdoors

these go on the belt, of course, so if you're commited to carrying in your pocket i guess you need the pocket mag holder posted earlier in the thread.

Others have already suggested good options, so I'll just add this: Carrying your spare mags in your cargo pockets isn't such a good idea, IMO. Are you willing to just go with one spare mag in your left-front pocket? What's in your right-front pocket, anything? If there's nothing there, you could carry another in that location along with the left-front.

That would seem a much better idea for mag availability/reloads under critical stress.

Guess I always look for solutions till I get or see something that works better. I know this sounds crazy but for time being you could take a box that over the counter drugs come in like Tylenol and make a sheath that the mage would fit in to protect them and your legs. Also this would keep the mags from banging into each other. They do make sheaths for extra mads that you can carry in cargo pockets also.

Maxpedition make a few different sizes of cargo pocket organizers. IMHO they work really well instead of putting everything on your belt.

You may want to consider wearing a different kind of pants. Cargo's are going out of style and were designed more for the look, and not to see how much crap you can carry in the pockets. They are sloppy looking unless you work construction work or something similar. They are more like the old fashion dungarees and painters pants of yesteryear.
Still can't beat a good pair of Wranglers.

Sincere suggestion here: rethink your need to carry those mags at all.

If you opt for a low capacity handgun, IMO just accept the low capacity. If you want more, buy a somewhat bigger gun that can hold more.

Maybe keep an AR "pistol" in your bag and your handgun is just what you use to get to your AR. Once you have the AR it's 30rnd mags for days.
