Does South Dakota recognize my Utah non-resident ccw? I am a South Dakota resident by mailing address and part time living situation.

Short answer, NO. Long answer:

23-7-7.4. Nonresident permit to carry concealed pistol--Validity in South Dakota--Application. Any valid permit to carry a concealed pistol, issued to a nonresident of South Dakota, is valid in South Dakota according to the terms of its issuance in the state of its issue, but only to the extent that the terms of issuance comply with any appropriate South Dakota statute or promulgated rule. However, if the holder of such a nonresident permit to carry a concealed pistol becomes, at any time, a legal resident of South Dakota, the provisions of this section no longer apply.

Go to the top of the page and click the tab CONCEALED CARRY MAPS. Click on North Dakota. It will turn green. All other states will show either RED or BLUE except Illinois (Black). If it shows Blue, then the South Dakota honors your permit. If that doesn't answer your question, click on the tab CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT INFO. Click on South Dakota and read what it says in the narrative that shows up beneath the map. If you have further questions, find a good 2nd Amendment defense loayer and ask him. One question shouln'd generate any fees, and you will have the answer that you were looking for. :pleasantry:
