Some scenarios... #1

Done told her once...
Figured I would share some scenarios that have happened to me over the years. Some people go all their lives and never have anything happen to them that is even close to any of these. This is obviously good thing. This is the first of four. They are in chronological order and just by mere coincidence... threat level as well. To clarify further, all these events happened in California.

The PO'd room mate.

1984- Had a girlfriend at that time who was rooming with another gal in an apartment. The gal my GF was staying with did in fact have the lease. Her husband was in the Navy, as was I, and he was deployed at the time. Now this "gal" was a character indeed. Her and her husband were from Kentucky. I never met him, but his "gal" or wife, was definitely what one would call a stereo typical hillbilly. She could talk like a sailor and bust chops with the best of them. A character indeed. Moving on...

Well, one day I get a call from my GF. She's upset and basically asked me to get a pickup and come over to help her move out. Naturally, I do that. Upon arrival, these two are sniping at each other as one would expect in this situation. I try to calm things down, but to no avail. So, I go to the end of the short hallway to the room on the left where my GF stayed and grabbed a couple boxes and hauled them to the truck. As I proceed for load number two, I notice the argument has moved to the end of the hallway. I very gingerly slip past both of them as they are talking more ***** than a Russian radio at each other. As I slide past, hillbilly girl says; "Don't move any of that stuff". I stack up a couple more boxes, turn to walk out of the bedroom, and there it is... the barrel of a rifle stuck in my face. Now, I am getting irritated.

My next move was grab the rifle, throw it back into her room, the bedroom on the right. Once again, I try to calm them down, fail, then continue with the next load. As I return, down the hall for the next and what should be the last of it, here she comes again. She's serious now, rather than the .22 rifle, she steps up with what appears to be a 410. Now I am pissed. I grab the 410, walk into my GF's bedroom and throw it through the window. Grab the last box, tell the GF it's time to go, and we leave.

The next morning... When I returned to duty on my ship the next morning, I was promptly instructed to report to the Master at Arms office. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Navy, that would be the ship's version of the police. Upon arrival, I was told that I was being charged with assault for the incident from the night before. They also said that the ship was not going to turn me over to the authorities without knowing the whole story. So, naturally, I told the same story you just read above. Obviously the El Cajon Police seen what a "character" the hillbilly girl was. Not only were the charges dropped, but I was asked if I wanted to press charges in return. I didn't do that because that's all that poor guy she's married to needed was for his nut job wife to get thrown in jail while he was thousands of miles away chasing Russian submarines.

Just figured it would be fun to share this. Not looking for advice or any clarifications on anything. While totally true, it's strictly for entertainment purposes. Trust me, looking back on this all these years later, I do realize how badly things could have turned out. Not saying she would have done anything on purpose, but the unintentional possibilities were there. Looking forward to the "what ifs", "would'a, could'a, should'as, and potential lectures. Just have fun with it.

The next installment: "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished"

Glad it worked out and you are here to tell your stories. I don't want to hijack your thread so I will ask first. Are you wanting us to tell our stories here as well? Or is that another thread?

Let me be the first to say that if somebody points their gun at my head, I would be legally justified in shooting them.

Go ahead and tell the story. It's all good! It's your forum too.

An important tidbit that I failed to put into the story... I didn't have a permit at the time nor did I own a gun. Not sure how it would have played out in the courts though, since I was in her residence. Remember, it was in California.
