Soldier Attacked In Wal-Mart Hate Crime Against Military
Schenectady man assaults Army captain in Albany. Shocking moment man attacked uniformed U.S. Army captain at Wal-Mart because of his military service. A crazed man attacked a U.S. Army officer at a Wal-Mart store in Albany, New York, after verbally harassing the solider for his military service, video surveillance footage shows. Albany police released the footage after charging 47-year-old Yiqiang Wu of Schenectady with assault as a hate crime for Thursday’s fight at a checkout line. The Army captain told police that a man behind him in line began to yell derogatory comments at him about the United States and his service to the nation. ‘It started with the middle finger and the officer asked if it was for him or something of that nature and it escalated from there,’ Officer Steve Smith, of the Albany Police Department, told News source.
Police said Wu then struck the captain several times in the face. ‘It looks like he displayed a great deal of restraint which is consistent with the armed forces, law enforcement and public service,’ Smith said. ‘We are held at a higher standard and you have to commend him for being able to have that restraint.’ The Army captain was treated for his injuries at the scene. The video shows the officer, dressed in camouflage fatigues, confronting the man before being attacked. Wu is free on bail. It couldn’t be determined if he had a lawyer.

Outstanding gentleman showing restraint above and beyond. To be attacked like that and still refrain from destroying that lowlife sorry excuse for a human being that wants all the liberties and blessings that this country will give him while all the while condemning and bad mouthing this country and the true Americans that protect and or believe in it.This lowlife inbred boot licker shouldn't have charges filed on him,he should be figuring which way to row his raft 100 miles out in the nearest ocean that we dropped him in.

Makes me wonder... I've spent a lot of time in Asia, with time in the PRC and Taiwan as well, and speak passable Madarin. From how this perp's name was presented I would guess he is from the PRC. I wonder what his beef is with the US military if he is emigrating - or has emigrated - to the USA? I can't imagine that he has missed what the attitude of the general US population is towards servicemen these days. Sounds like a real crackpot - not even representative of most immigrants. At least none that I have met from the PRC.
