It is my opinion that the old ways are still the best ways in general. We did honor the ranking service personnel with attentiveness of our President who does work for us.
Two Star Major General Harold Greene was killed in Afghanistan on August 8, 2014 while
pridefully serving his country for 34 years. He was the highest ranking officer in the military killed in action since the Vietnam war.
He was buried August 14 in the Arlington National Cemetery.
President Obama has not mentioned anything in regards to this highly decorated soldier's death, yet he spoke highly of Robin Williams who committed suicide. Neither the President, Vice President, Secretary of State, nor Secretary of Defense attended the funeral. Obama was on vacation, playing golf at Martha's Vineyard.
No flags were ordered to half mast yet they were for Whitney Houston who committed suicide. (Excuse me?) I find this offensive and
disrespectful to the veterans who have served our great country. Hell, I find it offensive to all Americans.
But then again, why does this not surprise me.
