Snow brushes - Use them!!

First major snowfall of the year here, and once again, sheeple think they can drive without clearing off anything but a small section directly in front of their face on the windshield:mad:

Seriously, clean your da** windows off!!!! Your decision to drive down the middle of both lanes at 5 MPH because you can't see shows you are an ignorant, self-centered jerk.

End of rant!

Went car-shopping yesterday, drove I-94 to Kalamazoo and saw much of the same. PLUS many of the blind idiots were talking or texting on their phones! Traffic was about 25 - 30 MPH (Icy) and one guy was reading a book.

But it's so much fun watching the ice/snow melt as you drive, eat, text and talk all at the same time :p

What?????? You aren't talented enough to change the radio while doing that? Rookie.

Denny I hear you on the boneheads, along with reading, I like the people eating off plates while driving.

Funny how it is fellow MI guys who see these things.

Its not just use the brush - but use some common sense.
Seeing people older then me, driving stupid in winter annoys me. its like they forgot how to drive in snow from winters before..

Whats worse is the people who buy the super safe cars, with multi airbags and other such features then drive recklessly thinking "so what im safe".

Not just older people. seems like 90% of MI drivers forget every year how to drive in snow

Yep, and the people driving 4X4's who fly thru the snow because they have 4-wheel drive. Only find out after they lose it, that they may get better traction to accelerate, but stopping on ice is the great equalizer.

Kinda like driving and seeing someone changing Ty here clothes putting on make up and driving with fogged windows all at the same time

Lots of open roads to travel here, I guess. I must admit, however that I have seen MANY people over the years driving and reading. Maps spread over steering wheels, open newspapers, magazines, etc. Books I SORT of understand because of WMU in Kalamazoo. I've lived in both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo and worked in the other city several times over the years, since we're 20 miles or so from the school I always thought that most of the readers were doing some last minute "study" en route to school.

Yeah, they act so surprised when it snows here in Michigan, too! They don't seem to know that four-wheel drives don't stop a damn bit faster than two-wheel drives!
I drive an MKZ car, but it has all-wheel drive. I love it for winter and, coincidentally tonight I had to run over to Sam's Club and the back roads were a glaze of ice in the tracks. So, since there was little traffic, I'd hit the brakes and practice driving straight or turning with the anti-skid brakes locked. Fun, but good practice, too after 50 years of driving rear wheel drive cars. I have a tendency to let up on the brake when I skid a little, but with the anti-lock brakes you have a LOT more control, but it takes practice because you're not used to control the skid so well.

I drive a 1 wheel wonder (most 2wd cars are really only 1wd when they lose traction) with ice tires. I stop better than I accelerate in winter. And yes, there is a difference between ice tires and snow tires.

I do miss having 4WD sometimes, until I remember what a POS that truck was the other 352 days of the year.

Fun yesterday for me. With all the snow got to watch a lady who didn't clear off her car get stuck. Tried turning onto a road she couldn't get down. Without even really knowing if traffic was clear (must have assumed the rest of us would stay out of her way), put it into reverse and tried to back out of the snowdrift. Had to rock it a few times, all the while blocking one lane of cross traffic. Finally got traction, shot straight across the road in reverse and put it right into the ditch on the other side that was about 3 Ft deep and full of snow. Buried her car. Have to love stupid.
