Anyone have one of these pistols.

I currently squirrel hunt with my S&W K-22 with a 6" barrel...Wondered how these shoot.

I'm thinking about the 7" barrel.

I have one for a year now. I think it's an excellent gun. Mine has had no problems with any ammo. Find a brand of 22LR that it likes to shoot and keep on feeding it.
Lot's of fun. The gun has some heft to it, so it can be a very accurate gun. Like most 22's it will prefer a particular type of ammo.
Get one, shoot it and have fun.

As always, stay safe.

Thanks...With a 7" barrel it should be a tack driver...

What distance do you have your sighted in at?

I have it sighted in for 25 yards. I shoot it hand held from a rest.
I also agree with the 7" barrel you should have a tack driver there.

Great shooter, agreed that it has some heft to it is but very accurate. Mine will shoot all the factory .22 but I prefer CCI for sure fire every time.

I've not hunted with a pistol before. Can you give me the pros and cons to doing so for small game?

Currently, I use a .17 HMR rifle by Savage with a 3x9-40 scope. I can get shots between 75-125 yds regularly. I guess one con to that would be walking after what you just shot.

Picked one up Friday. I added a red dot to her. Sighted her in yesterday and went "Tree Rat" hunting...Wow is all I can say. This weapon is far more accurate that I could ever be...And I've been Tree Rat hunting with a pistol since I was 13, ...Now I'm 59...

Cabalas had the BSA Red Dot Multi-Recticel on sale from, 79.99 to 24.99 and free shipping...Good red dot and you can't beat the price.

Anyway back on subject...I got three tree rats yesterday, 15 to 30 yards. Missed one that was close to 50 yards....But I made him jump straight up, so I must have hit under him...No blood trail, so I know I missed...

As age goes, I've had to go into glasses for astigmatism and added bifocals....I switched to contacts for the astigmatism...Made a huge difference for hunting!

You will have to allow the varmint to get closer to you...Lot more challenging and will improve your handgun skills exponentially.

I find it much more enjoyable to hunt with a pistol...I always carry a high-caliber handgun, in case I ever piss off a wild hog or bear...I may have to climb a tree, but I can give them something back....So much easier than carrying a rifle in the woods....

I have not hunted big game with a pistol yet....

I have a 44mag that I'm thinking about scoping and try a White-tail Deer with....
