Sling Suggestions?

Need to sling my New AR (Colt LE6920) M4.

Does anyone have any suggestions based on what is working for them right now?

It depends on what you intend to use the sling for.

When I was in the Army I used the strap off a Combat Lifesaver bag in the field because it allowed me to carry the rifle in a ready to fire position.

You can probably get a similar bag at any surplus store

I prefer a simple single-point sling with a quick-release attached at the base of the stock. Not that I use it very often but I find it to be comfortable and easy.

I think I am going single point. But, there are a lot out there.
I carried my original M16A1 with 2 point sling "Back In The Day". Never carried a single point rig and don't know what's hot and what's not.

I've been using a Condor CBT double bungee sling that give me the option of single and double point contact. The bungee allows for the weapon to ride close and providing the stretch to come up on target. This one uses HK style hooks which I have all my long guns and shotguns equipped to use but other connection points are available to suit your preference.

They are well made and comfortable.

I don't use anything other than single points on carbines. I hate 3-points with a passion. And two points are pretty useless for anything other than garrison or trail carry.

Been wondering the same thing, Kramer and glad you brought it up. With the M14 of course, we used the old slings and with the M16, as well, so I'm not familiar at all with the single point slings.

My Oldest son has dropped off several sling options for me to try.
He works security at a Nuke plans and they carry the exact AR I bought.
His adversary team is issued different slings to try.
He also told me to check out the Magpul Multi Mission sling.
Trouble is the best price I can find on the Magpul is $45.00 at Amazon.

Check out Botach.com for sling package deals. They had the magpul and it was reasonably priced. I have their KZ package and its well made and quite nice..

Second on the Magpul. It works great while I'm tracking through the woods hunting wild hogs.
