Slight encounter in Biloxi, MS

The Mrs. and I went to see Ted Nugent at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS. As I was getting out of the truck at the hotel, I was sticking my Kimber Ultra Carry II that was in an IWB holster into the front of my waistband. Just as I lifted my shirt to slide the holster in my waistband a local LEO cruised right by me from the left, so he had an unobstructed view of me. There is NO WAY he did not see what I was doing and what I was doing it with. He just gave me a kinda Peace Sign / Wave thing and just kept cruising. I was completely legal, so no worries there. I guess I looked the part and he just drove on....

And if you were in New Jersey you'd probably be around room temperature now. Congratulations on living in Real America. I envy you.

Glad to hear it went well, as it should :pleasantry:

Last time I got stopped, he asked if he could check out my newly acquired Sig :sarcastic:

Come on, you were outside a Nugent concert. The officer probably thought you were a roadie taking in a stage prop. :sarcastic: Gotta love the Motor City Madman.

Nyc

I live in NYC, so no comment!
In NYC you would have a tag on your toe right now! Only BG's have guns there. You have to be an FBI agent to get a carry permit.... ; )
I worked as a longshoreman there for 12 years and a lot of gun toters, all with familiar last names ( no offense to the good Italians). My wife's side is Italian.

Traveling with Friend of mine this weekend in Texas, we were pulled over for speeding, he has a bit of a lead foot, usual questions, the officer ask driver if he was carrying, long story short, both of us have concealed carry and we were carrying, he checked driver carry and then we got into a minor discussion on what we both carried, his final comment after finding out we were traveling out of the Houston area, he thought we should have even more firepower, like the small towns, he told us to drive careful and wrote no ticket. God Bless Texas

About the same in rural Georgia, that is if you are a resident such as I am!

About the same in Tennessee,

A few years ago 5 of us were trucking through a certain part on TN when a TST flew buy us. He had heard of talking over the radio and jumped on I40 and gave us an escort across the county at 85+mph.

Before he jumped off and went down the flipside he hollered back and said he contacted the next "county's" trooper and we had clear passage though it.

Everytime I go through that part of the state now, I give a shout out to a couple of good ole "Bears".

That's interesting... What was the occasion that inspired him to provide the escort, much less pass it on to the next County? What was the nature of the conversation (which I'm assuming was over the CB radio)?

I love Biloxi and GulfPort,Ms. Great people ! If only there were no hurricanes .I visited many times : never had the need for ccw though ;not the same here in Las Vegas .I'm a former Midwesterner , we all ( or y'all in Biloxi ) love the Motor City Madman ! I'd take my Southern Friends and The Motor City Madman ( he's about as mad as General Mac Arthur was ) in a foxhole with me anyday . In fact we should ask ourselves with anyone we have as friends or family ; would I rely on them in a jam or fight in a foxhole ? If not they are not really someone to count ! God Bless .
