How to stop pop ups. If not how to close account and stop emails.

I realize the .com needs revenue from advertising, but that incessant ad on the bottom
of the page lately is about all I can stand.

Yea, every one wants our money. The RNC, NRA, Water for Africa, Homeless Illegal Left Handed Lesbians, family, I give when I can I support who I can and I do not need an add to decide if I want a new Chevy Truck, a gun genie to buy the new dreaded gun of the hand or my nest keg of beer. At this point in my life I have made up my mind of what I need, where to buy it and who to vote for. When an add pops up on any site that I might visit if it has the space for "Stop seeing this add" I do so and if it asked for why I put it is offensive. My favorite past time is to tear up mail sent to me for a new credit card and mail it back in the self addressed, postage paid envelope. Unsolicited phone calls are gladly answered by me and I ask for their private home number so I may return the call when I am done eating. Whew, I love venting to no one on these things. Guess it is my passive/aggressive personality disorder, at least that is what the men in the white coats told me before I jump out of the window at the VA mental health ward screaming their here, they are back and living among us as democratic libtards.

Firefox has built-in ad and pop-up blockers. Add "Ghostery" as an add-on and you can make sure that you see very few (I don't see any) of the ads on the site at all. Sometimes you have to temporarily pause blocking with Ghostery so you can see comments on blogs or news sites, and once in a great while to see embedded video, but for the most part it's very seamless and unobtrusive and just works to keep your browsing experience uncluttered.

I don't think that Ghostery works with any browser other than Firefox, but I am pretty sure that other browsers have third-party add-ons that are similar in function.

Did you know the word Congress is defined as a group of baboons...yeah our country is in the hurt locker! Hope to see that change in 2016 and after last weeks elections I think we will. I still have some faith! :)

It is this site that has the worst Chevy pop ups. Every time I change windows, Chevy pops up. I will never buy another Chevy.

thanks for that link tcox. I've been getting frustrated with the ads at the bottom of the page that pops up each time i click on a thread or different topic that you have to x out to read each time you go to a different page in the forum... same one Peggy Reist mentioned.

I had google's pop up blocker on, but id didn't stop them. I downloaded the Google ad on at the link you gave It only took a minute, iss free, and no more pop ups .:moil:

Which one was that? I use an ad blocker too, so I probably didn't notice.
