You know what I'm the most tired of? All the left wing media and politicians insinuating that if you own or carry a gun, then that goes hand in hand with the fact that you don't give a **** about Sandy Hook! I think that's what bothers me most every time I hear "Think about Sandy Hook"

Yesterday evening, that news show with Brian Williams came on(I forget the name) and started discussing Sandy Hook and showed the POTUS talking w/ the mothers who lost children that day... y'know what I did...?

I changed the channel. Not b/c I don't care about the subject, but I'm just not going to listen to rhetoric like that anymore... I have zero patience for it. The parents who lost their children, I wish there were something we could do to bring them back... however, those that support the anti-gun agenda are still wrong! Wrong is wrong, I'll have empathy for you and your loss... but I won't let you take away my right to effective self-defense b/c you're thinking irrationally!

Add to that... The FDA made it an illegal practice to harvest a calf before it was born. This used to yield the most tender veal. The FDA stated it was inhumane to take a calf before it was born. Hmmmm, apparently it's A-OK to do it to human babies though. What about the children?????

just watched a great movie- "Olympus has fallen"- have to chuckle at the possibility that, this movie will not help the ammo shortages... its about terrorists from n. korea that attempt to take over the USA via taking physical control over the white house. These movies remind me that in my motherland of China- its citizens can not arm and defend themselves- and of America's roots- a country birthed by armed former colonies.

I would love to drop off a group of the mouthiest liberal "human rights" activists for a life term in china. Let them see what a totalitarian government looks and feels like- and what life in a country where its citizens are not allowed to arm themselves. And its true. When I was in my hometown of Shanghai, googling the word "Tiananmen Square"- nothing pops up of the students protesting (Iconic photo of one student in particular, standing in front of a tank in an attempt to block its path.)

I carry a gun BECAUSE I care about the kids..........mine, yours and theirs. But I was not there, so couldn't do anything about it. I agree with You. The only way an individual can keep themselves safe is to take security measures for themselves and their circle of family and friends into their on hands. Security barriers and self defence weapons are the only way of immediate protection! You can't, and I don't want, cops around me all the time. That's a police state and I won't live that way!
So self protection is the only way to live, if you ask me.
Of course, this is my take.

Looks like we got something in common. My mother snuck across the Canadian border and gave birth to me here so I would not have to grow up in Iran. 4 years later, she was killed in an Iraqi nerve gas attack. She never had the right to free speech, not even in her own home. She was never able to own a gun, drive a car or go to the store alone. A member outside of the family hearing her voice was unthought of. Most people wouldn't recognize the beautiful face in the picture I've hidden were I to go and search for family, because nobody ever saw her face. If I knew who my father was, I would kill him. I've repeatedly invited some of these loudmouth liberals to leave if they don't like the way America has exosted since 1776. They can go and live in Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan or another desolate ******** if it bothers them so much that we are the last free armed society. I consider myself blessed to have a mother who escaped thinking only of my life. There have been no takers. They would rather sit here and exercise a right they have not paid dues for. As a first generation American, I made it my mission to serve freedom and once that option came to an end, I made it my mission to raise my children to love and protect this country. You won't find another 5 year old willing to punch another kid in the mouth over mocking the pledge of allegiance (she has!). That kid won't make that mistake again.

Edit..i watched that movie two weeks ago. First thing i noticed was that they left out the armed citizens. Kind of wishing some conservative would make a film showing the American people, the ones who prevented Japanese invasion, getting into the fight. It's a long shot when you're surrounded by your enemy and outnumbered 100 to 1.

That would be a great current day red dawn movie (which btw the recent red dawn didnt do the original red dawn movie any justice IMO)- attack of America via all coasts- and the drastic difference between the greetings by the coastal new yorkers and california vs. midwesterners and southerners LOL!!!!! talk about all the different KNOCK KNOCK jokes...
