Silver Bullets...

Anyone know where to get 9mm silver/silver-tip bullets?? No joke. This will be for a gift. Thanks!

Oregon Trail "Laser-Cast" bullets are made with byproducts of a Gold mining operation, and they have a very high Silver content....they even advertize them as "The REAL Silver Bullet".

Oregon Trail website: Home

I think Midway also carries them in stock.

Best bullets I've ever tried BTW...their alloy is extremely hard for a "Lead" bullet. No leading, even in my Glock G30, with is supposed to be a non-no for lead bullets.

Have fun

My sister had one cast from pure silver for her .38. She wore it on a necklace and it was quite the conversation piece!
The gun smith told her that while it was a fully functional round, he recommended that she not use it!
Never found out why he said not to shoot it though...

Fairly easy to make yourself and load. I have a 50 round box or 9mm and a 50 round box of 9mm somewhere I made years ago. My brother is a huge werewolf buff and I bought hum a a custom Nighthawk .45 and had a bunch of silver bars ( the 1 oz ones back when they where 6 bucks or less each ) so I melted a bunch down and loaded up a 100 rounds for him. He loved the set.

If he's a shooter, you could get him the Winchester ammo by that name- be a lot cheaper and he wouldn't be sending precious metal downrange.

Just the same, I can see how a trinket (not live ammo) like that could be pretty cool to have too.
