Signs, signs, everywhere signs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With all the no gun signs going up, I was wondering if I could put up a sign that read:

Robbers, rapists, and murders welcome!
I need the practice.

Or better yet if you're like me and signs in places that aren't otherwise off limits under the law don't carry the force of law, then just ignore them. Burger King is the only place where I can buy a Whopper and I happen to like whoppers, so a sign isn't going to stop me from going in there. Yeah I know the argument of not spending money where you're not wanted, but IMO that argument only applies if they actually know I'm carrying, which of course they don't.

And if you ever have to use that weapon to protect yourself by taking the life of another person, is that a sign you want the DA to show to the jury during closing argument?

"Ladies and Gentlemen, you have to decide whether Bob shot Dejunga in the course of self defense, or whether he "jumped the gun" so to speak. Let's take another look at the sign Bob had posted outside his business. Focus on "I need the practice." "

You must be in Madison or Milwaukee? I was in WI a few weeks ago and didn't see many at all where I was....Actually only one...

I am in the Kenosha area, Bristol to be precise, and have observed only one posting of the "No Weapons" sign. When entering that store, I disarm myself (do not like to), and have questioned the owner on the sign, but it is still there. Maybe over time the owner will see my way.

It is the same argument as the "Beware of Dog" sign, should have been "Be Aware of Dog". My thread was more of a joke than anything. I realize the "Welcome" would also create a problem in court, if it got that far. When and if I ever use deadly force, with or without a sign, I will be justified, because I would not make that decision lightly.

It will depend entirely who is on the jury of my peers. If we are in the inner city, I am headed for the gallows. If we are here in my neighborhood, I am headed for a celebration.
