I have a Sig Mosquito Sport model, 22 LR.
After shooting about 150 rounds the other day, I was going to clean the gun but could not remove the counterweight on the front of the gun. I have never had this problem before.
I removed the threaded pin that secures the counterweight in place but the counterweight would only move forward about a quarter of an inch. It would not go past that point no matter how hard I pulled and twisted the piece.
I put some Rem oil on both sides of the barrel and slid the counterweight back and forth and then let it sit overnight. I still could not remove the counterweight in the morning.
If anyone has had this problem, please give me advice on how you resolved it.
