Sig Sauer has done it again. This Sig Sauer 1911 C3 Magwell with Night Light is a great gun. I purchased one on April fools day, 2011, but let me tell ya’, this gun’s no joke. I originally went shopping for the Sig Sauer P220 .45, but when I saw and fondled the 1911 C3, I just had to have it.
I took it home and field stripped it, cleaned it, lubed it up and headed for the range. The very 1st shot hit dead nuts in the center of the bull at 25 feet. The next 6 shots we’re all within 3/4″ of the first shot. I burned up a box of 100 in no time without so much as a hiccup, and the accuracy was very consistent.
So far, I’ve put about 350 rounds through it without incident. It has just a little more recoil than a FS 1911, but the sacrifice is well worth the carry comfort.
The only thing that could possibly make this gun any better, would be to put a decocker on it,,, but then it wouldn’t be a 1911 would it…
