Sig P229 Elite .40

LGS has one with night sights for $1045. Anybody have any feedback on this price and the P229 Elite in general?

I have owned/purchased a Standard Sig 229 in 40 Cal. several years ago. I had it worked to be similar to the Elite. My Son liked it so much that he bought an Elite in 40 cal. We both love them. I have over 3000 rounds thru mine and never had a misfire or failure to feed or eject with all ammo including hollow pts. . It is very accurate (more so now with the worked trigger) and Crimson Trace laser sights. This is my personal carry now. While I know that there are several good and reliable pistols/handguns, I wouldn't trade mine for any of them. Mine fits my hand like a glove. This is the Pistol that i trust with my life. The price is good for an Elite if new, in my opinion. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for the feedback. Although heavy, it felt sooo good in the hand. Very balanced and comfortable feel. It wouldn't replace my XDs as my carry but sure liked it.

the price is fair and the gun is great, it is my current EDC
