Opinions good or bad please...considering one as I'm looking for a .45 ACP.

I have a P220R SAO. Absolutely love it! It will shoot cloverleaves all day at 30 ft if i do my part even with the cheapest ammo i can find. Has never failed to go bang, has a very good trigger and despite its size, I carry it IWB whenever I can. Its a little big and heavy for this, but then again, so am I (6'2" 300#'s)

I'm not too concerned with its size since I'm 6' 225lbs and used to carry a full size 1911. I will be getting a supertuck to carry it. I've narrowed my choices between a Springfield XDM 4.5, a FNX 45, and the p220.

I have xd sc 9 and 220 elite carry. I perfer to shoot and hold p220. But i carry xd for weight. I imagine the xdm 45 would be alot less weight. As far as fn i cant help sorry. Which do you like to hold best? Do u like DA/SA or the same trigger pull of striker better?

I used to have the Equinox P220 (.45). The gun is large and heavy for some people taste for conceal carry, but to each his own. The equinox is the from the Sig Custom line and it came with a few extras. You will have to train and familiarize yourself with the DA/SA trigger. Some people don't care for it, but to each his own.

Just picked my 220 up and put 50 rounds through it...it's a SA only so buttery smooth trigger...excellent accuracy even for range ammo

I think a SA Sig P220 is an excellent choice! The P series is hugely popular line, it will serve you long and well!

I have the soft rubber hogues on mine. Significant improvement over stock. They are only about $20. I did have to modify the grips slightly to fit my P220r but they fit without modification on my dads P220st.
