Sig 1911 Emperor Scorpion Full/Size

I've never owned or fired a Sig of any make.
Anyone have one of their full size 1911's?

The price at $1234 is pretty close to what I'd readily shell out for another Kimber but I read a review online today that got me interested in Sigs...

Based solely on brand recognition, I'd automatically think theirs would be good. However, they're not typically for rent at the ranges I go to and I'd like some intel on these.

I like the PVD finish on this model.

The "carry" 1911's by Sig LOOK nice of course but I prefer a 5" barrel.

Blessings All,

I own many 1911's from different manufacturers. Sig builds wonderful Firearms and the scorpion lines are no exception. Mine runs flawlessly and the trigger is wonderful. It looks great and gets many positive comments. In the end, sig is one of many great 1911 manufacturers and you can't go wrong with one. Kimber, Springfield and the newer Colts are also great guns. Good luck!!!!

Thank you for the input!

I'm weighing what I want in one against what I'm willing to spend, and the Sig is surprisingly less costly than the others I've looked at.

I own and shoot several Sig firearms, including the 1911 TACOPS and Fastback Nightmare full size. Both have performed flawlessly (more than 2000 rds) from right out of the box with all kinds of ammo. Kimber makes a decent firearm also, but my own opinion is that the Sig, Colt, or Springfield Armory 1911s are slightly better. Why? In my experience they're not fussy with different ammo and (decent...i.e., Wilson combat or Chip McCormick) non-factory magazines than Kimber. Just my opinion based on firearms I've personally shot.
