I sure hope this was not a CHL holder. You know the Brady's and their cronies will be ready to pounce.

September 2: A suspect vehicle, metallic GMC pickup truck, is seen leaving southbound on Interstate 5 at Kincaid Street exit in Mount Vernon, Wash.
ALGER, Wash. — A man fatally shot a sheriff's deputy responding to a call Tuesday in northwestern Washington state, then led authorities on a car chase and killed five other people before turning himself in, officials said. Two others were wounded.

A state trooper was among those injured in Skagit County, north of Seattle, authorities said. The dead were found at multiple scenes, state trooper Keith Leary said at a news conference.

Among the dead were the deputy and another person killed at the same location; two construction workers who were found shot nearby; a person killed at another location; and a motorist fatally shot on Interstate 5.

A motorcyclist was shot and wounded at a gas station in the town of Alger, and the trooper was wounded in the arm as the suspect raced along Interstate 5, authorities said.

That suspect, reportedly a man known to Skagit County authorities, eventually turned himself in at a Skagit County sheriff's office in Mount Vernon.

Well, HK4U, unfortunately, for us law abiding CCW permit holders, the Bradys don't give a damn whether he's a CCW holder or not. They're still going to use this incident as a reason to deny law abiding citizens their RKBA.

Highly doubt he was a CCW holder. I was reading about this in another article, Link Removed, and it mentioned the shooter was well known to the police. Also went on to say he had mental issues and a lengthy criminal record. My bet is he’s not even legally supposed to have a firearm.

Like you said there are going to be people that'll blame this on the firearm. They’ll use anything to further their agenda. In any case prayers to all the families of the 6 that died and the 2 wounded.

Stay safe out there guys and gals

unfortunately that is the truth. they don't care.

The individual who supplied this firearm should be prosecuted as well. If the firearm was stolen, that would be a different story. Either way, a followup story would be nice to put some of the pieces together.

Shooting Spree

The suspect in the shooting spree that left six people, including a Skagit County deputy dead, stole his weapons and the vehicle he was driving from his victims. He had just been released from jail August 6th on drug charges, and as stated, has a long history of criminal activity and his mother claims he has mental illness issues. I say if he thinks he willl skate on an insanity plea, he's nuts! This waste of human skin deserves to ride the needle, with the exception that they should give him the chemicals one drop at a time.
