Shooting at noises in the woods

I'm glad the guy had a firearm to protect himself. But I 'm sorry he is allowed outside his home with it:

Hearing the commotion, a 64-year-old man inside the home got a gun and came out of his bedroom. The suspect ran past him and out the door. The armed victim followed, firing a shot toward a wooded lot from where he heard some noises​

Another example of the "liberal" media getting it wrong - he didn't "fire after fleeing intruder", he fired at a noise he heard coming from a wooded lot.
