~Sherlock Holmes Movies~

Last night my wife and I finally watched (rented) both of the Sherlock Holmes movies on Blu Ray.
All that I can say is "W.O.W."
Both films are very good i.m.h.o., although I have to say that I truly liked the sequel 'A Game of Shadows' more than the first film.

On a scale of 1-10, I personally rate these movies as follows;

Sherlock Holmes; 8.5
Sherlock Holmes 'Game of Shadows'; 9.5

Have you seen either of these films?
What are your thoughts?

It truly Rocks! =-)

I was not much of a fan of Robert Downey Jr before, but after watching him in both of the Sherlock Holmes films I am now.

No I haven't , But since I've been hearing how good they are I think I'm gonna have to rent that one too. I liked Downey in Ironman so I'm sure I'll like him in this movie as well. I'll vote after I watch....

I have seen both of the Iron Man movies in the Theatre's with my son (I actually collect Iron Man Comics).
We also saw 'The Avengers' together. =-)

Sherlock is my one true love. Whether Jeremy Brett, Benedict Cumberbatch or Robert Downey. Don't even care.

The plot for the first one was a little lame (IMO, of course), and I really dislike the cinematic style used (constant rapids scene / POV changes).

I watched the first Sherlock last night , It was good I'm just not so into the witchcraft theme..... It was good though. I really liked the fight scene's and how he thought them out prior to kicking ass! I need to rent the second one soon.

The use of black magic/witchcraft was the main 'modus operandi' of the bad guy in the first Sherlock Holmes film.
The bad guy in the second film 'Game of Shadows' is far more ruthless, cunning and calculated i.m.o.
You will definately like the 2nd film better.

I've really enjoyed both movies but I do think the late Jeremy Brett was the best.

I'm also looking forward to the new TV series 'Elementary with Lucy Liu but then again that may just be because of Ms. Liu.
