"According to the Department of Defense’s Military Sexual Assault Report for 2012, an estimated 26,000 members of the United States military, both men and women, were sexually assaulted in that year. The Pentagon survey almost certainly underreports the scale of the issue. Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men."
the pertinent quote from the report that is construed to the authors point is above. where does that say the 14,000 attacks were male on male? simply says the number of males attacked. no support for the authors article at all. author doesnt think females can sexually assault males? guess it comes from the same line of thinking as women not getting pregnant from rape because they can "shut that whole thing down."
i agree there is a sad issue at hand, but point the finger at the right place.
