I picked up a snub-nose 38 SPL a couple of weeks ago and, in my humble opinion, I like it a lot more than my semiauto pistols!! I know it's kind of bulky and a little hard to CC, nevertheless, with a nice OWB holster in the SOB position (with a thumb break, of course), it rides fine under a jacket or bulky sweater. As it gets closer to Summer, this may change, of course. The revolver is just, IMHO, a more comfortable gun to shoot.

I was wondering what our opinions are concerning revolvers ... Do you agree with me or am I all wet?

I agree that you should carry whatever you're comfortable with and can shoot reasonably well with, whether it's the same type of weapon I would choose for myself or not.

I prefer the revolver for shooting but the semi-auto carries better. Also, with a semi-auto you have more options for capacity since you can easily carry an extra loaded magazine.

I agree with you and have been carrying a snubnose 38 Special since 1971. At present I have 12 handguns in 22LR, 22 Mag, 38 Special, 357 Mag, and 41 Mag. Every one is a revolver; no bottom feeders for me.

You are right, I just love wheel guns. I have a Taurus Tracker 22lr with a 6 inch barrel. Weighs a lot, but very comfortable to plink cans with. It's a fun gun!

I loved my 44 Revolver. Loved it. Great gapping etc. Expensive to shoot thought. I know have a Ruger 22 and Ruger 9mm as well as a muddy girl .243 Rifle w scope. Which will be legal for hunting this yr. My 22 is just Awesome though. Best gapping with the 1st clip then anything else I've ever shot. Revolver comes in 22nd then my 9mm. Guys were pretty jealous when I was the one that hit the blow up target. Was out of my mind with a big head that day. My husband had a 40 and I shot 1 round and I was done. I swear it kicked worse then any rifle or pistol I've shot to that point. The Noranko 9mm is a pretty smooth shot also. If I could have my 44 rev as well as what I have now, I'd be set. I really don't know if I could chose revolver or semi auto though. Its hard. Feel for. My feelings are, go with Yur comfortable with in the end. Good luck. Post is from spring but I wanted to still answer Yur question.
