Sell milk, go to jail? Fascism 101

State looking to revoke bail for raw milk farmer : Wsj

Whatever happened to the good old days when neighbors could trade/sell eggs and milk to other neighbors?

One more example of the US Government trying to control all aspects of citizens lives. No one forced the patrons to purchase those products. They could always go to a grocery store to get overly processed and artificially modified food stuffs... I really think that is why a number of kids have allergies nowadays...they havent been exposed to allergens that kids back when did... I bet the feds dont mess with the Amish selling their stuff...that would be religious persecution.

Everything in this country is regulated to garner more $$$. It's ridiculous! If I want raw anything it's my business. I blame the politicians and lawyers for regulating and litigating everything about our lives.

Sounds to me like the state is a little hungry for money, ie the license and probably a fee to have all his milk produced or what ever. My Grandmother always talks about how her neighbors would give them milk, eggs and even meat for a little money, cheaper than running to the Grocery store apparently, and sometimes just a gesture of neighborly friendship. Sad to see how everything has to be regulated by a Government official and have to have a license or permit for everything. Who cares, if I were him Id just put up a sign (if one is not already placed) advising all customers that they are not responsible for illnesses by drinking their RAW milk products. Besides some people prefer to use raw products for health reasons....This is rediculas, hope all works out for the farmer in his favor.

Ive been buying raw milk because the over processing makes me sick. Plus, i don't need my daughters sprouting tits at 8 years old because the government doesn't mind manufacturers putting steroids and hormone supplements in my milk (which you can't buy over the counter, and is supposed to be listed on the label, according to law.). I pay in cash as well. Untraceable.

Don't bet on it: Feds shut down Amish farm for selling fresh milk - Washington Times

We've been buying and drinking raw milk for 2 years now. It's been interesting to see different people's reactions. My parents were almost surprised it would even be an issue, as they both drank fresh milk growing up. My in-laws however, were convinced that we were trying to kill our kid. They still don't approve, but they've at least accepted the fact that we don't give a damn what they think. We have a lot of very good reasons for buying or avoiding the foods we do, and we're happy to explain those reasons calmly and with, you know, actual facts and science to back us up. But mostly we just don't mention it too much anymore.

There have been many cases like this all across the country.
The worst part is the fact that raw milk is much better for you than the crap they sell in the stores.

Land of the free? Not any more.

I grew up on raw milk, buttermilk, fresh churned butter and anything else we could get. Rabbits, squirrels, fish and other wild things were on our daily menu and we felt like we were royalty by eating so well. Folks in towns didn't eat nearly as well nor were they as healthy. Government had to screw up everything!

Government has always screwed up everything.. or damn near everything.. Hell from what I read of history, most of the early years of 13 colonies was actually ok.. for awhile, until the "government" screwed up and pushed people to hard, those people fought back/resisted the "government".. Now we live in America, instead of a British colony.. o.O funny that..

What was it Regan said? - "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
