On a whim, I dropped $260 bucks on a SCCY CPX-2 Gen 2 9mm. I have a safe full of quality handguns and something about me rebelled at something they could sell for that cheap, but I'd read a couple of good reviews on it. Anyway, what you get for that is a made-in-America 9mm, 15oz, 10+1 capacity DAO semi-auto with good ergonomics, quality milled steel slide, aluminum receiver with full rails, milled steel barrel, two quality steel mags that come with both finger extension and flat base plates, very good three dot sights that were dead on from the factory but wind age adjustable, a customized trigger lock made just for the pistol, etc. I have 450 mixed rounds through it (FMJ and JHP) through it now. The trigger, which is long but very smooth, now feels almost as good as my Kahr, and it's combat accurate out to 15 yards and more if you do your part. Reset on the DAO trigger is revolver like in it has to be almost fully released to reset, but rapid fire is quite doable. And, although I haven't had to use it, customer service is apparently extremely highly rated. So I'm fairly amazed. It's sort of shattered my paradigm of you get what you pay for. Just throwing it out for discussion on what people think about it.
