Scary Times

These are scary times we live in. With a president changing the very fabric of our nation on a seemingly daily basis and so many cowards willing to go along, carrying a weapon is not only our constitutional right, but a necessity. I am disabled and live on a very fixed income. The Concealed Carry Giveaway is the only chance I will have to own such a fine weapon.

You said it well MJHealy. It is only going to get worse. If you do not think that Germany 1930 only happened once in our lifetimes--think again. We have a narcissistic moslem socialist piece of garbage who will be more than happy to retain the presidency for life in 2016---just read your history about Germany starting in the 30's and it is a replay. Personally, I am not a sheep, no one will deprive me of my medical care with a death panel and refusal of treatment because of age, and someone will go to hell before I go to heaven.

We live in very strange and dangerous times. Throughout history it has always been primarily the young who have rebelled against out of control government. On this forum there seems to be many more seniors and middle aged people making the posts. We have a really despicable man in the Whitehouse, changing everything that has created the greatest country in the history of the would. He is not merely changing minor aspects of the government, but the fundamental principles upon which our republic is founded. The Constitution is being destroyed and individual liberty eliminated.

I feel cheated that I, in my retirement years, am being forced to deal with this kind of crap from a man who taken advantage of this country and has contributed nothing but his contempt for the system that he has exploited. I may be a senior citizen, but will not quietly accept the destruction of this country.

Lotta folks feeling that way these days. The system is more "broken" that I've ever seen it.

Everyone seems to want something for nothing and the "rugged individualism" that Herbert Hoover spoke of (it refers to the idea that each individual should be able to help themselves out, and that the government does not need to involve itself in people's economic lives nor in national economics) has been replaced by an "entitlement mentality". Now we've got parents who seem to happily accept the presence of their thirty-something-ish children living at home with them and political correctness that approaches outright censorship of anything that doesn't fit within the confines of our present societal group-think.

I fear what my grandchildren may come to see as being "normal".

Save up and get a Bersa Thunder .380 or maybe a Hi Point which is even less. If you break in a Hi Point well and polish the feed ramp they are a dependable gun. Or if you like a revolver maybe get a .32 or .38. If you want something small look at the Kel Tec P-32 which will do the job at close range and has little recoil.

Not to mention your disability could make you an easier target in the eyes of a perp.

I worry about what kind of country my children are growing up to inherit, but I never thought about what my parents will have to deal with in retirement. Thank you for posting and opening my eyes to the other side of age.

I'm fortunate in being independent of government, including SS. My farm produces a good income and everything I need to survive. My grand kids, however, are going to have a very different life and country than I. We are moving in a frightening direction; and even the cure is uncertain and more. frightening. I find it difficult to believe that one men and a small group of criminal henchmen could create so much havoc. And yes, I know the history of the progressive movement.

The Declaration of Independence and Constitution provide and always have provided the answer. The solution will be painful and require courage and time to counter a century of the corruption of progressivism.

I also worry about what kind of future my children will be faced with, soon and later. I am making sure they learn about the Constitution and history, along with self sufficiency. The world gets scarier by the day.

When it comes to my freedoms I depend on my firearms. When it comes to my firearms, if you want to take mine then you had better bring yours.

Pure Poetic Justice. We reap what we sow. All are Signs of the End of the Age & This Last Generation that Jesus has warned us about and everyone has ignored for the past 2,000 years. The good news is that it should all be over in about seven or eight years at the most. The bad news is that 2/3's of the worlds population will have perished in what Jesus describes as... "A time of great suffering, the kind that hasn't happened from the beginning of the world until now and certainly won't ever happen again". The only future is Heaven or Hell. Choose wisely while there's still time.
