SC motorcycle carry: Traveling from NC with NC CHP

So i read up on SC vehicle carry laws and i know it states that the gun must be in a secured console or luggage compartment. But, the law does not clarify how one would carry a handgun on a motorcycle that has no type of storage console or "luggage" area.

I will be traveling to the Myrtle Beach bike rally in May on my Harley Fatboy that has no type of storage area or saddle bags at all. My only option is to carry on my person. How will the LE react to this situation.

does anyone have any answers?

If you have no carry permit, you better not be carrying it on you. Buy a small lockable or, closable at least, case.

If you have a permit, no worries.

SC carry

SC is a no restaurant carry state, so you can't legally carry into any of the bars. I live near Myrtle Beach and also ride a bike with no saddle bags or console, so I feel your pain.

We take vacations on our bikes each year, and I strap mine right on my side. The only thing I worry about is if I were in a bad wreck, keeping it secure and what would happen to it, if I had to take a ride in an ambulance.

EMS will take care of your weapon. They will give it to hospital security to lock up for you with your other belongings.
