On 3/26/2014 the Indiana Governor Pence signed State Bill 229 into Law amending Indiana Code 34-28-7-2 effective July 1, 2014.
This bill will allow visitors to secure their firearms, out of sight, in their vehicles while on some state property including schools.

This is a plus for Indiana. Now parents can attend meetings, sporting events, their children's theatrical events, etc... and secure their firearms in their vehicles as an extension of the Safe Harbor act.
