Satan in the pulpit

One Sunday morning the church was packed waiting on the pastor who was late due to a flat tire. When Satan saw this he took the opportunity to put fear into the congregation. The door of the church blew open with a great wind and Satan suddenly appeared behind the pulpit. Instantly the congregation all headed out of the church as fast as they could, all except for one man still sitting in the front row. Satan asked the man, do you know who I am? Yes, answered the man, your Satan. Satan then asked, your not afraid of me? No, said the man. Satan then asked him, why not? The man then said, why should I be afraid of you, I've been married to your sister for twenty years.

LOL I almost used that this morning. The message today was "Are You Content" but when I got to, (Philippians 4:13) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I realized I couldn't go another day unless we get into Isaiah 17 and Matthew 24. Got some e-mails Friday from a brother who is a missionary to Israel and another group I rent space to...both e-mails said the same thing and they don't know each other. After the Lord kept me from sleeping a lot Friday night it didn't take the mule kickin this farm boy to know what I had to do. Well nobody got a nap today...and they didn't rush out the door.

Well, the enemy has been hard at work for sure and for certain. My wife retired, we sunk a lot into our SUV, my P/U truck and thought we were set. Last week, flats on P/U then the AC goes out, then the SUV started an electric hick-up, so we are going to put more into them. But, hey, what is money for, OH, the Obamanation never erned any so he spends ours with out an issue. Must be nice.
