They hail from Turkey and are supposed to be a best kept secret. Similar to CZ they are apparently very well made with fit and finish on par with some of the more expensive European models. I think the K2 45 lists for around 560-570 and are just coming to the west. This 9mm is gorgeous and 1911 like.
