I've carried .45's of various makes & models, and the XDS, IMHO, is the best of them all for concealed carry. It has single hole accuracy, and as an older gent in my 60's with medium build, it is certainly not a bear to shoot, compared to some of the mini 9mm's out there, and I have shot a number of them. I carry it crossdraw, either IWB or between belt & pants, in a DeSantic holster that also has a spare magazine built in ( I did add a sweat shield that makes it much more comfortable to wear in this ridiculous southwest weather we are having! It literally disappears under any untucked t-shirt & easy to put on & take off. Even with a weak hand grip or regular off hand shooting, the XDS .45 performs flawlessly. I have lasers on my other guns, but this one shoots so well that I opted to forego this addition - you simply don't need it (for accuracy). I agree with the review that there is no advantage of trading the .45 to go with the 9mm XDS just for another few rounds in the magazine when you have an additional 7 rounds at the ready if needed. Just my 2 cents worth, but I'd wager that most anyone would be impressed by this little powerhouse if they are lucky enough to get a chance to try it - if you can find it available!
