Hello,
I have been searching for a 1911 for plinking and the occasional CC. I am looking for a midrange priced 1911 ($700-$900) with some of the bells and whistles. I was pretty much decided on a low end Kimber(Custom II) for $799 at the local chain gun store but today I ran into a S&W SW1911PD with the tan laser grips for $899. It is slightly used but doesn't look like it and has the shorter barrel.There are hundreds of threads and reviews for just about every brand out there. So I have been searching around for reviews but don't see as many reviews as most 1911 models. Does anyone have any experience with this particular model? Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.
