Hi all,
Just thought I'd pass on some information. I recently purchased a new S&W M&P 22 for training and fun, since it closely resembles my SR9C in size, capacity, and functionality (DAO). Also bought a box of Federal 22 ammo at Wally World. Cleaned it before I went to the range. First trip to the range and all I do is clear FTEs. Obviously, I'm pretty irritated by this... Went home, cleaned the the gun again, really well this time (Q-tips and all), then hit the internet. Some research suggested it was likely the ammo and the general consensus was to use CCI Mini Mag ammo: 40gr bullet and 1200+ fps muzzle velocity. Just returned from the range and I didn't have single issue over 100 rounds of the CCI. I suspect that this gun needs a bit more power to cycle the slide fully. Another round I'll be trying is Remington Hyper Velocity. Anyway, just thought I'd in case it could help someone else...
BTW, this gun is really a pleasure to shoot. Accurate when I do my part.
