S&W Bodyguard 380

To me this is a great concelement gun. You can carry this gun many different ways as not to bother you. This is a great gun as I like the way if feels, very confertable to use. Would like to know what other shooters think about this gun?

I carry mine every day in its SuperFly holster. Compact, and with JHP ammo it's lethal enough. Just got back from an 11-state 3000-mile motorcycle trip with it. Had to pack it away crossing IL and KS, but it was in my pocket or tank bag the rest of the trip.

I have one. It is a great pistol. Waiting for ankle holster from Don Hume.

Take a look at the Kel-Tec PF-9 or P-11 in 9mm, or their P-32 if you want something even smaller. Good, no-frills CCW guns, at very reasonable prices.

This is a great small handgun especially for the price. It is running about $350. Not a bad price for a .380 with laser sights.

I've been debating with myself between the LCP and the Bodyguard and I'm leaning more towards the Bodyguard.
Hoping to make a purchase soon after my much needed fishing trip in a few weeks?

I opted for the LCP because the BG's were experiencing some "growing pains" when I was looking for a BUG.

The LCP (without laser) shoots like a dream.

A+ I was impressed with how well built it was. and very small.

The BG is a little bigger than the LCP, and does not feel like it is going to jump out of your hand like the LCP. The BG comes with the grip extension (actually on the magazine), but if you decide to go with LCP, I highly recommend adding the grip extension.

Ive got both the Bodyguard and the LCP. In all honesty, I can't say which one is my favorite. The BG feels a bit better in the hand and is more comfortable to shoot a box of ammo through at the range. The LCP is smaller and easier to conceal, but not very much fun to shoot more than a few magazine through. The LCP is easier to find at dealers. S&W needs to pick up their BG production.

I chose the Bodyguard 380 as daily carry option because it has these features that the LCP was lacking in my opinion: 1)a thumb safety, (2)slide locks back after last round fired, 3)it will fire if magazine is not in the handgun, 4)integrated laser not added on. I carry it in the crossbreed mini-tuck with (2) spare magazines in a Remora magazine pouch along with a Kershaw speed knife, though I will at times use a Remora holster as a quick carry option. Both the LCP and the S&W are great small 380's but as a wise man once said " i can no more choose your firearm as I can your wife."

I got my BG about a month ago and love it. Much easier to carry than the J-Frame revolver I had before.

Personally if you want the feel of a well made, heavy real gun feel not polymer feel consider the p238 .380 its my EDC gun and Primary carry weapon. Feeds anything i put through it without any problem

Not saying the LCP is not quality because it is a really well made pistol but shooting both I can tell you the LCP is All over the place compared to the 238 and that's because of the light frame the LCP has. Read others reviews between how the 2 shoot and compare that's why you pay double.

I like my bodyguard but the trigger pull is long and stiff. I am hoping it will loosen up after a few rounds.

I agree, I own both the p238 and Lcp, they are on two different levels of quality. The price is double, but the feel, the recoil, the accuracy, everything about it is way more than twice the Lcp. I would carry either, but I know the Lcp in my hands is a point blank gut buster, I get other options carrying the p238.

Compared to the bodyguard, which I looked at for months before purchasing the p238, I still believe the p238 is a notch higher. Bodyguard is on level with the khar p380. I didn't like the the trigger, racking the slide, or manipulating the laser, but that's my opinion and so I chose the p238. I don't think you can go wrong with the p238, p380, bodyguard, Lcp, tcp, or any modern 380 pistol.

A 380 isn't exactly a range gun though so you may be able to shoot tighter groups with the sig, but the whole point of a mouse gun is to be able to fully conceal a pistol, mainly in the summer and its only duty is to go POW at 3 to 7 feet. Like I said the Sig is a beautiful gun, but its meant for the 100k class. If that's you fantastic but if your down in the middle with the rest of us the bodyguard or the lcp is a great choice
