S&W mod 17-3 at GunsAmerica...in REALLY good condition, with box and papers, $675...
It goes down from there....LIGHTLY used, with clean smooth bore, a light score line around cylinder from pall rubbing, with no box or papers...maybe $475~$550.
If bore is rough and/or leaded, bluing worn off, cracked or checked grips, rough appearance in general...$250 tops.
You'll be real lucky if you get more than $200 on a trade-in. You'll do better to sell it yourself or by contract through a dealer (where they'll take 20~30%)
Those can be really nice target revolvers...very dependable, and very accurate...had two of 'em myself over the years.
